I was in NZ for 2 weeks last month, and am just now getting through my pictures. This was shot just past sunset, in downtown Auckand.

The lighting on this building looks really hyper-real. Is it just me or does it look like a model size building?

I agree. It think with a combination of the color and the DOF, this looks like a wee-little building! I always wanted to be taller!

Actually, the buidling itself kind of feels like it wants to be taller... hehe. It was the original public pool/bath house in Auckland (it functions like a YMCA now), and downtown has really grown up around it. So you walk down the street, and just kind of stumble on it. It's now surrounded by a bunch of sky scrapers, and there's a freeway overpass that runs right in front of it.

Very cool. It does look incredibly artificial. Neat that the YMCA building looks hyperdimensional and sharp and the parking garage in back has flattened so much that it almost looks like a 70s matte/set painting.
Really interesting photo!
