Storm Jet
This photo was taken after a storm passed through our area. The sky was a very intense orange/red and the clouds appeared as little "ice cream scoops", like something I've never seen. I climbed up the fire escape and captured this airliner departing from EWR just before the sky cleared.

YES! These are them! Thanks Christina. It was a very strange phenomenon. Everyone in my 'hood was coming out into the streets and taking to their rooftops to see how bizarre the sky was. It reminded me of that scene from "Independence Day" when the ships began settling over the cities. Kinda made me nervous, like something bad was about to happen.
Very much looks like a film still. Nice!

ver jealous of this shot. I tried to get that plane in another angle and location, but just couldn't get it in focus. : ( glad you did though, really makes such an awesome shot.
