Sunset & Silhouette 4

Probably my final sunset shot for now! These 2 were both taken in Thailand. I'd gone out of town to the little beach town Hua Hin for a few days. The first shot is while we were there, 2nd shot is on the drive back. It was perfectly timed –we were driving back into the city on a bridge RIGHT as the sun was setting. Perfect time, perfect place luckily. Thought it was super cool since it shows the contrasts of the many sides of Thailand (like my previous posts showing jungle vs. steel).
Gear : my little Lumix point and shoot.

At Hua Hin...

...as we re-entered Bangkok.

Wow, these are two very nice shots! They make me miss being in Thailand. The heat, on the other hand, I DO NOT MISS!

I love these photos, especially the sky in the second one. One thing that bugs me about sky photos (and this may be my lack of know-how) is that the sky tends to go flat when you shoot it, but here, you can still see the layers pretty nice for just a point and shoot. Is this from a moving car?

Hell, these photos make ME miss Thailand and I've never been there. Great sunsets.

The ships in the second are like some kind of crazy sailor momento mori tattoo. Like a line of ghost ships scurrying into the afterlife before the sun goes down. "Sail into the light..." kinda like that Davey Jones locker Scooby Doo episode. Zoinks!

Glad you like them, I was particularly proud considering it was a little point shoot AND yes jenn, it was in fact from a moving car. Which if you've ever been in the car with my friend Sunanda, you'd know that she thinks she's in Germany with no speed limit no matter where she's driving.

This is the main river that flows through thailand North to South to the gulf of thailand. Those barges are a normal sight to us 'locals'. If you made a trip with us you could see them for real ;)

I hope to one day!
