The series of architectural post have inspired me to break out of my shell and finally post on Le Clique. Here's a shot I took a couple of years ago on the west side of Manhattan.

Awesome Jo! Thanks for the first post, we're excited to see more from you!
Hey Jenn
I'm totally psyched about my 1st post.
Thanks for putting this site together!
Great photo and first post! Thanks for participating- we're really happy to have you.
This has a great creepy isolated feeling. really eerie.
And on another totally nerdy note, this instantly made me think of that scene when a cable car thing enters House Harkonnen in Dune (the Lynch movie, not the Sci Fi channel one).
Night photography is so awesome. Yes, is is a bit eerie but in its own way it is also calming and peaceful.
I'm glad to see words like isolated and eerie. I'm always drawn to the mystique created by night and love shooting after sundown. Anyhow, I'm lately discouraged to shoot architectural structures at night since people are always ready to treat you as a possible terrorist. Ugh...
I hear you on the terrorist treatment, which is not just a night thing. Pretty much anywhere you go in the city, day or night, you're bound to hear some hating from someone. I heard it from the shipyards here in Red Hook once, for taking a shot of the cranes (nevermind that they're publicly visible for miles). After refusing to give the guy my camera for deletion, I was told to "get a job, you long haired, hippy bastard."
One of my more fond memories of Brooklyn.
