New Jersey Swap Meet: Parts/Patterns

A few weekends ago, we took a trip with some friends into Jersey to check out a huge flea market type of event for cars and parts that was taking place. What we found were rows of tents after tents of vendors selling—sometimes desperately trying to get rid of—anything from decals and parts for vintage or modern cars to Hot Wheels toys to yes, even candles. There were guys wheeling around purchased tires, push-carts filled with miscellaneous parts—some of course rusted, and even one proclaiming a proud buy: $300 for a working atv (he was driving it around). There was also a strip where owners proudly displayed their finely renovated cars and another where some were for sale. Below are some of the things I found in a few tents.

Oh, hell yes! Awesome photos- I love them. You forgot to mention that the guys proudly boasting of their $300 ATV were operating said vehicle while visibly intoxicated and dangling off of it in much the same manner as the depiction on the box of a GI Joe toy. The swap meet was awesome. The guy selling the sawzall blades had some pretty sweet deals.

Badass! Great combo of photos together. works great as a set –colors and the lines are superb. You got some beautiful piles of junk there.

ps. and might your friends who lead you to this thing also happen to be super awesome? ;)

Jo: neat right? There's all kinds of side things like this going on that often don't collide with all the cultured activities that exist in the city. But no less important or interesting for sure.
