I found these soggy books strewn around on the street on a walk, with their half title pages in full view. I couldn't help but be drawn to the conspiracies they seemed to suggest, even though they're normally just goofy teenage stories. It's interesting how them being on the street versus in a bookstore—amongst other brightly colored kid's books—changes the perception of what the story might really be about. Maybe it's just me.

I was so excited when I realized what these were... I not only had the books, i had the vhs tape series of the show (I was a 9 yr old girl, it happens). Interestingly enough, Stacey did have a dark secret. She was the hot model girl with anorexia. Dawn's ghost was something silly like a squirrel in the attack I think.

I'm sorry, hope I didn't ruin it for anyone!

Interesting what you can find when you are just walking around...if you keep your eyes open!

"Trash" culture disposed of as trash. Is there a "Choose your own adventure" book around there somewhere.....
